Awwwwww yeahhhh, boiiiiii! While the cat is away, the mouse will play. Play Grease 2, that is! *maniacal laughter*
I might even do the Cool Rider dance. Well, duh -- of course I'll do the Cool Rider dance. And the Back to School Again dance. And I'll sing Reproduction at the top of my lungs. If only I had a slutty gold lame dress so I could sing We'll Be Together in costume.
I want a C-O-O-L, R-I-D-E-R.....I wanna cool rider! A cool, cool, cool rider! Woo!
You know, come to think of it, I could probably recreate the Christmas tree costume from the A Girl for All Seasons scene. Of course, if I electrocute myself I'll be good and dead by the time Craig arrives home from D.C. tomorrow night. On second thought, maybe I should leave the Christmas tree lights where they are.
Stephanie, please don't cry....

No, I think you should go and get the Christmas tree lights. heh.

Joelle fished on April 28, 2003 08:53 PMOh, no, this is not good. I'm not sure why they called that movie "Grease 2" when it obviously has no discernible resemblance to the original "Grease", Pink Ladies, notwithstanding! Seeing as it labeled itself as it did, I never gave it a fair shake. I am a "Grease" snob! I'm glad you enjoy it, though. Watch it twice! And I did love the Christmas tree outfit, but ya gotta love Michelle Pfeiffer, no matter what.

Empress fished on April 28, 2003 08:56 PMnow that movie should be a classic if it is not already!! I am sure that Craig is very sad that he is missing all the fun.
Hatti fished on April 28, 2003 10:32 PMlike the empress, i am a 'grease' snob as well after doing many years of 'thee-a-tah' and a few weeks of 'grease' in high school (frenchy, baby!). anyhoo, i married a man who hates the theatre and all things musical - including the original 'grease' - BUT he is madly in love with 'grease 2.' in fact, much to my family's chagrin, he sings 'cool rider' and 'reproduction' at the dinner table, as well as whispers "c - o - o - l!" if he sees a dude on a motorcycle at a stoplight. i personally cannot watch 'grease2' as it turns my stomach, but have ordered it off of deepdiscountdvd.com for him... i'm such a sucker...
laura fished on April 29, 2003 12:52 AMgrease 2 is the best. when i was growing up, i watched grease 2 very very frequently and didn't even see part 1 until i was a teenager. for me, it was all about michelle phieffer. my favorite line comes when she is asked if she has ever read a superman comic. she is staring into a compact mirror and applying lipstick when she answers in a very sly fashion 'not in the last few hours.'
just yesterday i was walking the streets with the grease 2 soundtrack on my walkman. i love 'cool rider'... 'reproduction'... that breathy piece at the end where the 'coolrider' is singing in fluffy clouds.
you could totally pull off the christmas tree costume. 'girl for all seasons' is a really great idea for group halloween costumes.
andrew fished on April 29, 2003 01:03 AMFirst time I saw Grease 2, it was with my best friend from high school. And we both fell for Michael Carrington (played by Maxwell Caulfield).
Maybe it was his accent, maybe it was his dangerously sexy eyes, or it could've been the way his leather-clad thighs hugged the motorbike as it did..err.. yeah, teenage hormones, need I say more?...
Although Grease 2 didn't stick with me like the original did, I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Christine fished on April 29, 2003 02:54 AMi saw it once and it was one time too many.
=)
but to be fair, the first one was so good that any sequel would have paled in comparison. "rules are, there ain't no rules."

Well, I'm looking for a dream on a mean machine with hell in his eyes
I want a devil in skin tight leather, he's gonna be wild as the wind
And one fine night, I'll be holding on tight"
I don't know why they rag on G2, I love it 100x better than the original. Maxwell Caufield /swoon/
hehe! wooo lawd..
